June 2024 Halton Region Local Farmers Markets

If you’ve been following me for any length of time,, you know how passionate I am about supporting our local farmers. 🌱 And with June rolling in, it's prime time for farmers' markets!

Hey there, it's Jasmin Arviko from the Brett Smiley Team. Today, I'm thrilled to share my top picks for local farmers' markets with you.

Let's kick things off with the Oakville Farmers Market. What began as a small gathering at Hopedale Mall in '79 has blossomed into Oakville's longest-running outdoor market. For over four decades, the Civitan Club of Oakville has been at the helm, using proceeds to support various community charities.

You can catch the market in action every Saturday from May to November, located at the Dorval Crossing East Plaza on the corner of North Service Rd. W. and Dorval Dr. in Oakville, running from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Next up, we have the Centro Farm Market in Downtown Burlington. Celebrating its 13th season, Centro Market is all about fostering community and connecting folks with fresh, healthy food straight from our local producers.

Swing by every Sunday from Mother’s Day to Thanksgiving, between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., located at 437 Brant Street in Burlington.

Lastly, let's talk about the Waterdown Farmers Market. With roots deeply embedded in the agricultural fabric of the Waterdown community, this market has been revitalized with the support of the Waterdown Business Improvement Area in 2014.

2024 marks the 11th season since its resurgence, and they’re proud to carry on the tradition. Join them every Saturday from late May to mid-October, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Support local, eat fresh, and join me in celebrating the vibrant spirit of our community at these fantastic farmers' markets! 🌾
